Got the Apache back on the last day of May. Still packed safely away. Not taking any Widows to Toby for Repair, nor picking any up this weekend from him. Had to do this the two previous years. There is hope after all.

Shot the Apache at Farmland a few weeks ago. Did not qualify for the final round. Toby says that the new Risers should be ready in a few weeks. Yee Hah!

Uncle Jim,
Like noted on 3D Shoots & Events, both courses were laid out very well. The targets were distanced properly as to size. Had some tree trunks or branches to shoot around or under.
Lots of ILF, 3 under and string walking in the the younger crowd. Older guys tended be shooting split. Some guys trying to shoot off a fairly flat shelf while string walking, mostly okay, but at certain distances where they were holding at a particular point on the string, the arrow would do a weird bounce, fishtail, but still manage to hit the target.
Couple of IBO Champions or high placers with 300 grain arrows that screamed down range.
Two different schools of thought. One setup is just to hit the target. Other school is to kill the target.

Hawk, when we went down, I think in the spring of 2017, I couldn’t shoot because my arm was still in a sling. But I did get to walk the course as a non shooter with MaryAnn and we both agreed that it was set up very challenging. Glad you enjoyed it as they put a lot of effort into setting it up. Just a fun place to shoot. Oh and I’m still in the split finger mind set. ... Uncle Jim
