Another Year, Another Bow...

Postby Hawk » Fri May 03, 2019 10:53 pm

Longtime Widow Wallers maybe remember my damaging of 4 Widows during 2017 and 18.
We kept the R&R section of Widow busy for several months.
Well, four months into 2019, we were pulling the Apache back working on some non-shooting drills to gain some control and shooting strength and she jumped outta my hands on a letdown.
The doorjam and hinge is a little harder than the upper limb. This one is now on the way to Roy Hall in Texas.
Toby says the new Widow will have, "Butterfingers" on the upper limb.
Thanks man.

Matt,
I'm hung up between another PMA or; Wait for it, a KB!
Tried to discuss with Toby yesterday, but the Wife has already told him, "No, are you nuts?"
Toby says he has to follow my Wife's orders. After all she makes the cookies. I don't count.
As you can see by some of the other responses, that I have a host of friends.
Sincerely,
Hawk

Yes Matt,
Ken Beck restarted the company back in 1982 with the 25th Anniversary MA and all black MBs. They went on to make a 30th Anniversary Crown Jewel and many other models. There is an, "Old School Bow Shop" thread on this Forum that shows the ONE rack of bows in 1988.
The last model that Widow came out with was the KB, that Ken has used for the last few years.
So he started with one the physically heaviest bows in the line, shot a SA and PSA for a long time, and ended up using his namesake bow.
Maybe as we get older, we all end up with the, "Short & Sweet" KB.
Regards,
Hawk

Got the call today. The Apache will be coming back next week. Wonder which will be next?
Sincerely,
Hawk
