Re: Hit The Wall

Got some double good news, the other day. Tests and checks are shown we have turned another corner. The No-Shoot drills have been working, hopefully. Haven't dry-fired a bow or put one in the doorframe. Got a new PMA II Greybark that is within a pound of my lighter weight Osage/Honduras Rosewood set...

Re: Rescued another one.

Like I said, before, during that time?
It all runs together after awhile.
Just glad that the PMAs are still here after all these years.
I just got a PMA II Greybark earlier this month. With the rise of the exotics, the good old Greybark is often overlooked. It nice to have one again.

Re: Rescued another one.

Yeah, Tom has a 58" LH MA II Greybark out there, but it is just too heavy. You don't see many GBs, AOs, or BDs GBs came out in 87 with the Crown Jewel for the 30th Anniversary. You then had the Fast Flight transition in 88 so you got some Dacron rated CJs and GBs, maybe some BDs. Toby told me b...

Re: PMA length

62" PMA has a recommended draw length range of 28 to 32 inches. A 30" draw puts you right in the middle of the range. I've found that it is best to stay inside the recommended range, ideally in 50-80% of the range, but others prefer a length in the lower end of the range for less finger pi...

Re: Black Widow MA Silver Anniversary

Wilson Brothers kept excellent records on their production / shipping from 1957 through mid 1976 when they retired and sold the business to one of their Bowyers. Roger told me that this second owner did not keep decent records, but when Ken Beck purchased the company from this man in February of 198...

Re: Black Widow MA Silver Anniversary

X2 what Ray says. We met Ken Beck in May of 83 at the Fox River Park District Shoot in Aurora, Illinois. MAs or Maple Anniversary for the 25th anniversary of the company were offered for 3 years in order to keep interest in Widow's first ever wood risered T/D. If I remember correctly, it cost $389, ...

Re: New PLII shipping today!

That is great, Mike.
Sounds like they just had to put the final finish on her and send her out.
Happy Birthday!
