For me my Widow is best - Bfisherman11

I love shooting a stick bow, all of them actually. I am lucky that I can switch back and forth between bows without getting messed up. Not long ago I bought a DAS to play with and it was fun. I also had to buy a custom bow I shot at a trade show that I liked (Still do). In the end though, none top my widow in smoothness and just making me feel like I am holding an old favorite.... I am a bit of a collector of bows. Small compaired to most. I keep the bows I like, but trade the ones that never impressed. One thing all my trading and collecting has taught me is that "for me" a BW bow is my go to bow. If I had to get rid of all but one bow, that last bow would be my PSA (Zircote/Myrtle) Bill

Now that is me too. BW rules the day. I'm currently down to BWs only. Funny, I am thinking of ordering another BW bow with a riser of Zircote & myrtle limbs. My biggest problem is when I go to Nixa, I have a hard time not buying one off the rack. If possible, could you send a picture to buckshotap@gmail.com. Anyone else have one? I would appreciate some pictures.

Well Bill, you are just saying this because that is the simple truth. Post a picture of your Zircote PSA-X will you? I saw Greybark's pictures of his Zircote BW....and, that was some good looking wood. I did not know Zircote was that pretty. If yours is just as pretty , i will take a chance on Zircote for my PCH-X that i am struggling with on wood choices......of coruse i would have to pin Toby down to a promise that it would be too. LOL!!

I will have to take a pic of my Zircote bow. I have one of my PSA3 with boo limbs. I have taken a number of critters with that bow. As soon as I take a pic of my other widow I will post it. Bill

Gilbert, I wish. LOL Actually that is my hunting bow, a PSA3 with no white and boo limbs (love this bow too). I was hunting Caribou in the Brooks Range in AK. I took that picture the day before it started raining. It rained for 3 days but not hard. Just enough to make you wet and uncomfortable. Anyhow even after three days of that harsh weather when it was crunch time my widow worked without a flaw. Seriously the bow was wet for the whole time. I would wipe it off but with that humidity nothing dried. Anyhow, on the last day of the hunt I stalked a bull and made a 25yard shot as he trotted between two pines. My shot was a heart shot, I can still see the arrow arch and drop into the bou as he ran off. I never even thought about the shot. Totally instinctive shot. Brought my arm up got to full draw and released. My favorite hunt to date. Still need to take a pic of the Zircote bow. Bill

My PLX and PMA are the king and prince of bows for me. The PLX is my favorite, but the PMA ain't no slouch, either!

Dewayne, You sure your replying to the right thread? I am bragging about BW here. There is a thread where a guy is complaining about how much widows cost but not me. I think they are worth every penny. No one is talking money on this thread. Bill

I have twelve stickbows in all wide range. when I need to get down to business on a 3d range after a bet with some buddies. the bw pch 58 inch is my go to bow. picked one up 6 weeks ago. soooo smooth for a recurve. my father is a die hard longbo shooter . he hates revurves. but he was very impressed with the bw pch

Last night I shot my PSA. I had 12 weeks of indoor leagues and when they ended I was ready for a break I guess. Well I realized I had not shot in a couple weeks and my BW felt so good. I shot way better that I should have after the break... I trust no other bow I have as much as the Widow. Bill
