First Bow - Shooterguy13

Hello, I've recently gotten into traditional archery and I'm ready to purchase my first bow. I know I want a PL but I don't know what model or poundage. I'd like to hear some suggestions. I'm over six feet tall, in my 20s, can easily shoot a 65# traditional bow but I want something that I can get now but then have and shoot the rest of my life, so when giving suggestions don't worry about the price. If you have shot a cheaper kind of bow, $200-$400 price range, I'd like to know how it would compare to a PL. Thank you for your help and I hope to be shooting a Black Widow soon!

I would strongly you call Roger at Black widow and discuss it with him and do the try before you buy program The PL is definately a great shooting bow, but before you spend that much money , I would try , to get length of bow and draw weight figured out I used to shoot 60-65# and can still handle that weight, but now shoot around 50#'s (will do anything, the heaver would do (see no real difference) and so much more fun and comfortable to shoot) Better a little too light , than a little too heavy Have been doing this a long time, a little too heavy ain't worth it, I have total confidence in my 47 and 50 # PL's But if testostrone makes you go too heavy, you will eventually learn

If I were to order a PL today-it would be a PLV Takedown with a Canebreak skin. The bow would be 64 inches long and in the 48-50# range. Then, order a t-shirt saying "My other bow is a 70 pounder" ;)
