Code1 and I are honed in on some nice birds. If my KB gets here in time both Cody and I will be arrowing our birds with a widow bite.

Turkeys are fun stuff....they don't get my heart racing like deer but they are fun to call in. Regards.

Love spring turkey hunting. Took me several years to take my first one. Getting anxious to get out but still have snow where I live, going to be a late spring. good luck everyone. Denny Sturgis Sr

I'll be out the morning of April 21. This will be my second year after them with a bow. Last year I hunted with a Greatree and took a long shot on a jake but my arrow dropped short and he putted off. this year I'll be back out but I'll be carrying my LAG!

Our season in Ontario doesn't open until the last Saturday in April. Got the week booked off for turkey, plus that's when the steelhead season opens also in our rivers. With such a long winter, steelhead fishing should be fantastic, and a turkey with my new widow wouldn't be so bad either.

stumping this morning and the dog jumped up 3 flocks- she is addicted to finding a sent trail and following it up until she can get a chase going and making them fly; Just havn't figured out how I can capitalize on her finding ability yet; She will lay under a tree with me for an hour or so, reall still and quiet, listening and sniffing (knows we are waiting for something- then when sometning shows up ,she starts cat sneeking it, until it sees us then the chase is on

Using a dog to flush is a favorite tactic in a lot of places for FALL hunting, Andy. I think they even call for the regroup. Sounds like you'd have a leg up with your buddy there.

Ours starts tomorrow. I am working nights right now, so every morning the rest of the week I will be chasing them.

GILBERT i am shocked that you don't carry a small portable T.V.and treats for your dog so she can keep up with the latest gossip and not get hungry while you are setting in woods ask her if she wants a new home (i will get her a T.V.) and give her a room with a bed in it. all kidding aside you have a GEM.
