Would be a good idea if BW has enough news to report. Maybe BW shooter's successes in the field, tournaments, new developments at BW, tech tips, Toby's wife's cookie recipe that Dennysjr likes so much. Feature a BW worker's picture, likes, dislikes, history, favorite bow etc.. Stories about employee's hunting adventures (like loosing guns). Stories from BW hunters. BW owners may be full of tech tips they would share. Saw a safety tip on another site I thought was good. Paint the "top" of tree steps with glow in the dark paint so as to better see them in low light.

I like it. Let's skip the cookies though. Some of us are trying to shed a few #s.

Great idea. Consider a bi-monthly publication as well. At the onset, you may have a lot of material but as time goes on it can prove difficult at times. It's not quite so time consuming if you have plenty of material but if you have to go looking for it, it can become old fast and the quality of the publication suffers a bit. For many years I edited the publication of MI Traditional Bowhunters and when I had lots of material, it was great. When I didn't, not so much. 8~) Really like the idea, including submissions from BW owners. Hope to see this idea develop!

Love the idea, Maybe the readers can submit articles once in awhile and maybe the employees of BW can put their two cents in too. Hope it pans out, would love to see it.

Love tree rats fried & BBQ! Go ahead & post recipe for stew, please! Have several old rats in the freezer that might go good in a stew.

would be nice to know what is in the oven and what is about to go in the oven.tips, equipment, performances, improvements etc. are all good subjects.would also be good to raffle a bow off once in awhile (sell tickets). what yall think of a raffle for a bow (winners choice) say twice a year.BW sells tickets and put in box and when time is right they have a drawing. also it would br good to have a dvd showing BW employees, shop bows and them building a bow, testing etc. i know you can put it on wide view to fit R---- in the pic.hehe

I like the raffle idea. One stipulation might be that BW has to receive enough $ from tickets to cover the cost of a bow. Got to feed "dem" boys & girls!

I think it's a great idea. Would be less expensive if it were done via PDF or web publication. I'd also be interested in a Black Widow owner's rendezvous of some sort, perhaps at a hog ranch somewhere near the Widow works. . Back to the newsletter... make sure it's well edited and proofed. I worked as the editor and chief graphic designer of a small national magazine for one of our church ministries years ago, so have some experience in this. Having good grammar and spelling will go a long way in making a good impression. Just cuz somethin' sounds when you say it doesn't mean it will look so good when you write it. (For example!) . The newsletter might best be done quarterly, too, depending on what kind of content you're considering. I think the Compton's quarterly magazine does a good job of producing a smaller-scale magazine, and still keeping it high-quality.

Thank You Roger for the newsletter. Incredible idea this is. There is a wealth of information, ideas, experience, knowledge and stories to be extracted for all to enjoy. I enjoyed just reading the ideas sent to you thus far and to hear that we get to see and enjoy the Widow bows being built before being sent out is just incredible. Thank You and keep posten those bow pictures what Beauty and Craftsmanship. Nothing better to open the forum and to look at Widow Bows posted. By the way what is the number of Widow Bows one man is allowed to own????? I wanna forward this info to my wife. Something you might wanna post in the Newsletter so I can show that to her. LOL!

Hey Recurve, A man needs at least 5 or 6 bows. How many pairs of shoes does your wife have? Remember, she loves you and wants you to have a new bow!

Re:

dang saw the newsletter and there is the wood combo I just ordered in my PAX !! thanks for the newsletter !

Re:

I would say 5-6 bows is a low estimate. If your wife loves you like mine (42 yrs.), she doesn't know a nock from a nock set & doesn't recognize that a bow is new. Just be sure to cover your tracks!

Hey guys, my thought process is on the same lines as you all. But my line inward today is the 2 Grandsons we've been Blessed with. With two new additions to our family of Bowhunters gotta equip the little guys with new Widows Bows A. I mean what else could you possibly want to equip them with. Lots of Birthdays and Chrismas presents needing to buy going forward. Its fun now watching them raid GrandPa's cache of tools in chasing Whitetails. Can't imagine what its gonna be like when handing them their first Custom Widows. That means Roger and the Gang gonna be hearing from this Camp down the road soon enough. How many is to many who knows were just getting started. LOL! I got a huge laugh out of Buckshotap response now thats funny guys WOW! I'm still laughing
