Nice looking doe! Will look good in the skillet. Have to give you credit. Late season hunting can be a real challenge. Cold & windy conditions have often caused me to question my sanity. Have been in a tree that was iced over & got so cold at times I could barely get out of the tree. The heater body suit has saved my life more than once. Always considered late season hunters (where it gets cold) to be real serious hunters. Shot a doe once in late Dec. & ice was all over everything. When the arrow hit, she started cracking & fell to the ground in little pieces. Good job, especially with a trad bow, as it's harder to shoot with lot of clothes on.

The cold weather is a big challenge I cant shoot with any type of glove on my hand so I wait as long as I can before I take my bow off its hanger.I shoot Easton 2018 shafts with a 150 grain magnus stinger .My arrow weight is 550 grains and I cut the cone off of the knock end of the shaft so I can use a uni-bushing and lighted knocks .My draw weight is 50lbs at 25inches and my PCH is 54inches long.Hey bearhunter glad to see a nugent fan out there I am a big time fan I catch his show every time he comes to town ,seen him last year in Columbus and Dayton the man still has it and then some my spirit of the wild cd is in the truck all season long.

I have always liked Nugent also. Met & talked with him a few times at the national archery dealer shows(ATA). However, it has been reported that he has violated game laws in Alaska & California & was convicted, fined & lost hunting privileges for a time in those states. We all make mistakes of one sort or another from time to time. But, some feel he has not represented hunters in general & especially trad hunters in a manner that leads to a positive attitude by the general public. Another example of our "White Knights" having a darker side I guess. If one chooses to be a "white Knight", one should do his/her best to stay white & not put personal gain as priority #1. I guess it's another case of taking the good, the bad & the ugly. Hopefully more good than the bad & ugly. In any case, he is character to watch! Whether he is a positive or negative influence is up to each individual to decide.

Don't intend or want to start any back & forth about the NUGE. Just another part of his story some may not know. I like the guy. Get a kick out of him riding that buffalo! Bet most of us have made a goof or two at one time or another. May miss some part of a regulation when hunting an unfamiliar state. With all the regs now days, it would be easy. When you add his +s & -s, bet he comes out +. Just take a close look at CO's regs & then take an aspirin!
