New bow pop - Rluttrell

I am very happy I read the FAQ's first before string my bow >Q: “What was the small "cracking" noise the first time I tightened the limb bolts?” A: When the limbs on a takedown bow are first installed, the limb insert in not completely seated. When you tighten the bolts you may hear a small "pop" or "crack" which is normal. I knew it could make a noise but it still freaked me out a little

I hate cracking sounds like when I cracked a couple teeth, a toe bone, & a shoulder blade. Worst cracking sound I've heard was when I was a military policeman and a drunk cracked a beer mug in my eye. Nearly cracked a .45 caliber in his. Luckily my partner got him with his stick first as I had my 45 half way out of the holster. Got to keep my shooting eye. Cracking PCHs are no problem but are still scary. Moral of this story is don't get to close to a drunk with your PCH! Cabin fever is bad!
