Old Guys & changes - Buckshotap

I guess I'm at the age where I don't like anything changed that has been working good for me. Like everything else, I'll get use to the wall changes. Typing in the code is ok but I'd rather not have to do it. I'm sure there are good intellectual & security reasons. Does it seem there is less posting? Are we running out of ideas?

Agreed. The sign in is quite inconvenient. I too have noticed the lack of activity here. I wonder if it is just because guys dont know we are back up. I thought this was intended for widow owners to post on. Looking at the new registration process, it appears that the wall is open to anyone to join. Is this so?

Gee I had't noticed that! Hey Rog may anyone join the WW wheither they own a BW or not or do they just have to interested un archery? and yes while it is not a hard chore to log in each time. They spoiled us on the old site where we could log in when we registered and stay loged on. It's rather easy to move around the site just diffrent. I suppose if I live long enough I'll get used to it. I got used to being married a while back.

Thought I was the only old guy! I'm really feeling old (65) this year. Especially after 3 weeks in the Rockies & letting a big 5X5 make a fool out of me at 25 yds.! Last 3 yrs., approximately 72 days of hunting & 1 shot opportunity. That makes you old quick!

I agree new things are sometimes hard to get use too. I am a computer guy and an old guy and I find this not as easy as the old system. But, this is what we now have and I am sure after using a wile we all will feel just as good about it as the old system.. Hoping anyway ! !

I know change is difficult. Anyone get a new cell phone lately? They aren't really phones anymore.

I refuse to get a smart phone. Would have to spend the next few yrs. learning how to use it! Could be hunting instead. Think I'll stay TRADITIONAL with my old guys Consumer Cellular special. Will leave them to smart people as long as I possibly can. Hopefully forever!

ANYONE? signing in not owning a Blackwidow? I hope not, then we can kiss this great forum goodbye. Just look at other forums open to anybody....just bashers & haters mostly.

Roger, can you clarify the word customer a little bit further. If anybody that buys some nocks from Blackwidow, and not a Blackwidow bow original owner....that makes him a customer, therefore he/she can post on the Widow Wall? Just curious.

I have been trying to change my profile to include my handle also. I'm not a fan of change either but, I'm learning to deal with it.

I guess I am like most of you, this new look is very hard to get use too. It takes some of the fun out it, by having to log on each and every time, and by the time I get to the security code I have forgotten what I wanted to say.....:) I guess as the old saying goes...."It is what it is"......so if you want to play you have play by the new rules or take your marbles and go home.

Hello Gilbert, You do not have to own a Black Widow to be able to post any longer. Hopefully you experienced guys will be able to help the new guys with their questions. Thanks for your help. Roger

Talking about old I'm 78 and surviving.I had an interesting thing happen. I've had arthritis in both wrists and hands for many years. A few months ago my right shooting hand started to get numb like it felt 10 years ago before I had carpal tunnel surgery. After lot of testing the Doc said I may need extensive surgery to separate the nerves from the arthritis.I then discovered that the more I shot the bow the better it felt so the Doc prescribed that I shoot the bow every day at least 12 t0 20 times and we cancelled the surgery. He came short of prescribing a new Black Widow bow so my 46# PSA will have to do. I did order a new bow string from Rick Barbee so he can now advertise that along with all the other great things about his bow strings they can now be used to do therapy to your fingers and hands. Go Rick! Badgerman
