My next BW - Longknife

Howdy folks, I got into archery as a kid shooting my granddaddys flatbow. Dating myself a bit when the compound bow craze hit I climbed on that bandwagon & hunted with them 10years. The joy of archery had long since faded with that mechanical contraption when about 12yrs a buddy who needed some money asked if I wanted to buy his Bear recurve. More interested in helping him out then the recurve I bought it off him. Of course I HAD to shoot it & low & behold archery was fun again. I decided I wanted a longbow next & believing its always better to buy the best equipment you can afford I purchased a new Black Widow Long Autumn Grey. I LOVE that bow & she has served me well for the last 12yrs. Recently I decided I wanted to buy a new bow for no better reason that I wanted something different. I still only want to shoot longbows so in the last few weeks I have purchased a couple longbows (used) from some notable bowyers looking for something "better". While I have enjoyed each of the bows that I have purchased I cant help but to compare them to my baseline standard of a BW LAG & unfortunately they are all left wanting. Sorry for the long wind up but I wanted y'all to know where I was coming from. I have a question that I hope the august group of minds here can help me answer. What is the difference between the BW current longbow offering the PL to to the Long Autumn Grey? Studying the pictures they look nearly identical & I dont see anything in the description that diverges from what I recall the add for the LAG saying. I appreciate any insight y'all can provide. If they are pretty much identical that isnt nessisarily bad. One of the things that getting these other bowyers bows has inspired in me is a desire for a "pretty" bow & the new PL Exotic will scratch that itch. Thank you, Bob

I don't Know what the differences are, I would call Black Widow and ask. I've been shooting my PLX for a few months now I really like mine.

The PL is advertised to be more comparable in speed to the recurve if that floats your boat. Regards.

Bob, Back in 2004 we redid the longbow. We added more preload in the limbs which in return gave the bow more speed without giving up anything in the process. If you like the LAG you would love the PLs and the takedown system is as good as it gets!
