cool 9 pointer - MAXHUNTER

This was a fascinating harvest. This guy showed up on my camera and I went out that afternoon to get him. Like a clock he came back within minutes of the time he was there they day before. The shot was even more interesting. I hit him right smack in the leg(what other people may call shoulder erroneously) and the arrow went in deep, so I knew he was going down and I knew the arrow did not get stopped by the bone. After a gruesome bloodtrail I found him in 40 yards. The arrow actually deflected off the bone forward, and came out the front of the chest, not exactly what I was looking for. Must have cut the jugular, the line between the entrance and exit were not my intended path, but incredibly effective nonetheless. If the arrow impacts 1/2" to the right, maybe the bone stops the arrow, 1" further right and it is a perfect bullseye. Think about that, a 25 yard shot, which travels 900" and if it was 1/2" to the right, I could lose the deer. Man, talk about a game of inches.

My MAX Tulipwood/Purpleheart, 60" 53#@28", Gold Tip Traditionals 5575, Muzzy Phantom 4 Blade. First time shooting that broadhead, usually shoot Magnus. The 4 blade probably made the difference.
