spider silencer tip - Patrick a.

I have tried many silencing methods but have found the spider BW silencers to work best. What I have realized, however, is that they donĀ“t seem to stay in the original state for long: The "legs" start pulling apart and loosing integrity after a few arrows. Having said that, I put a drop of superglue in a bottle cap and dipped each of the "legs" tips in it. So far no more loose ends... Hope this helps and if anyone has other ways of keeping them longer please share... Patrick

I had some from a string purchase and put them on an Oneida compound. It was fast flite, running 65# and the spiders showed no wear after 200 shots. On my recurves I still run Wooly Whispers.

Patrick, I currently have an experiment running. Put new spiders on my bow and my wifes bow. Mine I coated the whole thing with E600, her's is just normal. Will take a while, but will try to report back the results. Regards.

Patrick, Not working out so well on the test. Mine is starting to show wear....but I shoot alot more than my wife too. Not sure whether that means that the E600 doesn't do any good or that it is just not a fair test. My gut feel is that the E600 just doesn't hold up. Regards.
