quieting a bow - Willie

this is what i did to make my pma super quiet 1 62#@28" 2.put sbd string on bow ( this really helped) 3. brace height (not picking or bow doesnt seem to care) 7 1/4" 4.2315 arrows 652 grains but not picky here either, have used 150 heritage shafts (645 grains),2215 shafts (542 grains)but i chose 2315 because i have 3 doz. of them 4.put 2 layers of teflon tape around limb bolt threads and shaft of limb bolts (this really helped) 5.put ox puffs 11" from limbs contact (these puffs IMO cant be beat (this really helped) trimmed them to size of golf ball, took 1 of the wool silencers from BW and made 2 and put 1 on each side of ox muffs 4",s closer to limb contact 6.#2,#4 and #5 are the solutions IMO hope this helps anyone who has a concern about quietness

Try Braveheart Archery for SBD strings Or get them directly from SBD.www.sbdbowstrings.com They do help a lot on recurves. I am gonna try the teflon tape trick on my SA111.
