heavy hunting shafts - ForestPhantom

What would y'all recommend for a good heavy carbon hunting shaft. I have a 50# 28" draw PMAX with 125 gr. silverflame broadheads. I was looking at all of the heavy shafts and want some personal thoughts on what you all are using. Thank You.

I've had pretty good luck filling up the shafts of regular Gold Tips with black pepper. The weight tubes I tried displaced the nocks and didn't work for me at all. I can hit 900 very easily in the 75-95's and 750 - 800 in the 55-75's. I AM using heavier points than you. This lets me get great FOC and weight AND keep the costs in line ( and the bow is VERY quiet.) I'm hunting with these and the trajectory is very workable at practical ranges. If I get hungry I can always add a little seasoning to a sandwich too!

i use carbon express shafts.you can add 50 or 100 brass inserts or you can use different GPI weight tubes.i like this system and they dont rattle or vibrate inside the shafts.you can also use 50 or 100 grain weight hat you screw into back of inserts.if you use a 8/32 tap you can tap your insert without buying special inserts.the combinations are endless.
