Women Black Widow Archers ? - Irideon

At 58 , and 5' 2" , I have just been introduced to this impressive and pure line of bows . It's been years since I've shot , and I miss the zen of archery . Are there any female Black Widow archers out there to offer advice ? I want one of these bows !!!! Thank You , and Happy Trails , Sheree

Sheree, I left a note for you over in the classified's. Feel free to contact me and I'll try to help you. There are quite a few women who shoot BW bows, although not many of them lurk on this forum. Hopefully, a few of them will chime in and share their thoughts. Claudia

My wife shoots a Tulip wood 60" PSA 34#@28. She draws about 24". She does not come on the boards but she is a fine shot and likes her BW. Good luck. I will tell the wife about this post. Bill

I'd highly recommend doing their test drive program. Fairly inexpensive to try and you can see what works for you. I did it and ordered one about 30 minutes after getting the test drive bow!

If you live within driving range of Nixa/Black Widow, I would make the trip. Lot's of bows to shoot & friendly folks there. Talk about Zen when you walk in & see all the bows hanging up, it's quite a treat. There's a magic dust in the air & you will buy one! Or like me, maybe 2!

Forgot to mention that it's been my experience women are real good at keeping men on the straight & narrow! Been married for 42 yrs. plus 6 yrs. dating my wife so I know! Come on gals, join in the fray. Should be refreshing after so many comments from men here on the wall!

My wife, Marie, doesn't post much, but she enjoys shooting and hunting with Widow bows. She has a PLX and an SAIII.

Is that her in one of your DVDs? I enjoy watching it as you don't see many women in trad videos. I have been married to my wife for 42 yrs. & have been shooting bows longer than that. She wouldn't know a nock from a nocking point. I forgive her every season. But, that's ok as she lets me go without restrictions. Been wondering why it's been so easy to get approval to go to CO the last four yrs. for the whole month of elk season. Could she be glad to get rid of me?? Maybe Marie could shed some light on that. Get out there this yr. & get r done! Be sure to post some pictures.

My wife is like Bfisherman11's.....she shoots a BW but doesn't come on these boards. She is also a good shot. I drove her to Nixa and let her shoot all the bows they got at the shop down there. She was able to decide what model and poundage she wanted....and also hand pick the very woods to use to make the bow she ordered. I highly recommend it if you can. Regards.

Don't know how Sheree's season went, but she's all set up with a Widow and arrows. Hope she jumps on here and gives us an update!
