TOBY" LATEST MASTERPIECE - GILBERT

I had Toby built me this 60 PSA-X. We talked back, and forth for about a week, and i finally decided on Ebony wood, including the limb wedges, and 55th Aniversary limb overlays...no Phenolic. Toby suggested a little bit thicker red center lamination to get a RED HOUR GLASS? on the grip. I immidiately agreed on that but little did i know how grogeous that would turn out to be. BLACKWIDOW AND RED HOUR GLASS??...well yea!!. Toby you really outdid yourself here. What do you all think folks??

Gilbert, how did you make out with your new bow last season now that your into it over full year??? Thats a nice looking Widow. I lived in the Carolina's for 4 yrs and the first thing came to mind when looking at your pictures was those Black Widow spiders black and red they were everywhere. Going through the forum looking at bow pictures of older post.

Recurve, I did not connected with this bow as of yet. Well, when I say not connected I mean a big rack Whitetail. Couple of does, some pigs and an 8 point cull buck. I did with one of my older PSA-Xs 48lb @ 28". It is my favorite since I cannot shoot the poundage as I did when I was a young man. Yes Willie, it does my heart good to hear of another good lefty. My grand father always told me that lefties were good people, and I never heard him tell a lie,LOL!!!.....I miss that old man. He was one fine bow shot. I think I am finally going to settle on Ebony again on my PCH-X next in line. It is about time to give Toby some head aches as I always do when it comes to what I want, LOL!!!

Pete, the quiver is one of my own design that I offered many years ago along with the Take Down recurves I used to make. I just modified the brackets to fit my Widows. It is so lite that it feels like I hardly have anything attached to the Widow. I use the Bear recurve bow 4 arrow quiver hood, and the Selsway 5 arrow holder.........Greybark, my friend, I feel so bad for you about the Stanley Cup. I have started looking in Pawn Shops to see if maybe a past winner might have gotten in a bind, and maybe hocked it. LOL!!! Or would you rather just wait, and maybe someday make me eat crow. LOL!!.......JUST KIDDING MY FRIEND!!!!...I am sure that the "Red Gods" will eventually smile dowm on you.

Gilbert you have any old photo's of your Grand Dad with his archery gear???man thats about as good as it gets right there. Paw and his Bow (old school). If you have any whats the chances of you posten some of him for us old guys to enjoy. Both my granddads were gone before I come of age can't imagine what that would been like having a Paw hunten with me what a treat that would been. Back in 82 I had a moment with Fred Bear in Grand Ledge MI walked and talked with him for a short time and I get goose bumps just thinken back on it. He passed couple years afterwards. I have a couple items from that time he autographed I'll cheerish forever. Can't imagine having something from a Granddad passed down. Best to you catching up to that Big one with your new Widow.
