strung or unstrung? - Patrick a.

Hi, I was wondering what you all do with you takedown recurves once a day of shooting is over. HereĀ“s my doubt: I have been on vacation for the past week, two still to come and have been shooting my PSA 50# every day and have been unstringing it at night. Should I? What is best, that is, to keep the limbs healthy. Thanks, Patrick

Patrick I have a PSA 50@28 also, if the bow is shot at least every other day I would not worry about unstringing it. If is going to be idle for more then a few days I would unstring it. I got my bow 1/13 and after the brace height settled in it has not been unstrung. The most frequent cause of limb damage is in the stinging process.

As long as I am shooting on and off I leave it strung. only unstring when not using for long periods.
